Panic Symptoms, Attacks and Causes

 

A huge percentage of people in the United States suffer from panic attacks. Unfortunately, most of them do not understand panic attacks symptoms and causes that is why many do not seek for treatment. Panic attacks are actually sudden surges of overwhelming fear and anxiety. These attacks are serious and disabling although they do not really have much effect on the body. If you are currently suffering from such attacks, you must visit your doctor immediately. If these panic attacks are left untreated, they may lead to panic disorder. They may also lead to other health problems. They might even limit your activities. Hence, you will no longer be able to live a normal lifestyle.

Causes for Panic Attacks

 

Nonetheless, the causes for panic attacks are not clearly determined. However, the attacks have been linked to the body's genetic structure. Researches have shown that people with histories of panic attacks in their families are also prone to having panic attacks. Then again, healthy individuals can suffer panic attacks, as well. In addition, anxiety, depression, social phobia, and stress have been found to trigger these attacks. Sometimes, a person suffering from panic attack feels that he is having a heart attack. So, he rushes to the emergency room, only to find out that what he is having is just a panic attack symptom.

Common Symptoms of Panic Attacks

 

Well, the common symptoms of panic attacks are palpitations, rapid heart beats, sweating, trembling, choking sensations, shortness of breath, chest pains, bloating, nausea, indegetsion, dizziness, light-headedness, derealization, depersonalization, chills, hot flushes, fear of going insane, feeling of dying, skin discoloration, skin blotches, disturbed thoughts, numbness, urgent need to defecate or urinate, and muscle pains. In spite of all these disturbing symptoms, panic attacks are treatable. If you receive the proper care, you will soon be able to take control of your life again.

Treatment that does not require medication

 

There are several treatments for panic disorder and panic symtoms,that don't require medication.
