Common Anxiety Attack Symptoms

Anxiety attacks are not like any other disorder because they can occur all of a sudden. You can experience them while just sitting or driving. They can occur without any warning at all. A very common anxiety attack symptom is chest pain. Most of the time, anxious individuals who get chest pains think that they are having a heart attack when actually they are not. When you get anxious, you get chest pains because of muscle tension. Bear in mind that heart pains do not start in the chest, so they are different from chest pains. Relaxation exercises and deep breathing are usually effective ways to diminish this unpleasant symptom.

Difficulty when swallowing is another common symptom. This one is caused by throat muscles which have contracted because of stress or anxiety. There is also sweating. Well, sweating is perfectly normal. In fact, it is the body's way to cool down and release toxins. However, when you experience anxiety, you unconsciously prepare your body to either fight or flight. Hence, you sweat a lot to cool any impending exertion; but as your anxiety subsides, your sweat level returns to normal.

Moreover, you might experience shivering or shaking when you are anxious.

This one is normal too. Our bodies shiver or shake when we are cold or nervous. When we feel fear, our bodies often drop in temperature. This occurs because the muscles sporadically contract. Then, friction is created between the body tissues and the muscles. This friction, subsequently, generates heat that raises the temperature of the body. Once your anxiety diminishes, your shivering or shaking will diminish, as well. Anyway, it is important to note that the symptoms associated with anxiety are not really dangerous to your body. However, it is also important to consult the doctor for treatments and check-ups..

Treatment that does not require medication

There are several treatments for panic disorder and panic symtoms, that don't require medication.

Once such treatment is Panic Away.
